8Bit Northeast is a regional group of electronic musicians using vintage videogame hardware such as the Nintendo Gameboy and the Nintendo Entertainment System to both compose and present unique live performances of original 'chipmusic'-- on stages and in the streets, using battery power.

Aristocrat Programmable Guitar Pedal
The Aristocrat Programmable Guitar Pedal can go anywhere and become anything. It's a stompbox with a USB port so you can download and modify audio effects programs from the web and upload them into it. Inside, it combines the Arduino-like cross-platform environment of the Maple IDE with the horsepower of the Maple's upgraded microcontroller and the sound quality of the Audio Codec Shield from Open Music Labs.

Audio VU Meter
The audio VU meter will take an analog input from any mp3 player, cellphone or anything with a 3.5mm headphone jack, and display the signal levels of both the left and right channels. The signal is displayed on a 2x20 led array within an acrylic case.
