Makers in Education
We will be looking to meet up with other educators and gathering information about what school and community based programs are in the maker community. We would like to know what educators like about MAKE magazine, Make: Online and Maker Faire and how these resources can be used in the classroom. If educators have examples of their classroom projects, we would love to see them!

Mini Photo Workshop / Q&A
An informal demonstration and discussion about taking pictures of small hacks and projects outdoors. I will explain how to use reflectors to improve photos taken in natural light, and how to set up the camera. A discussion after sundown will use artificial light but discuss the same principles. Very heavy on Q&A and audience participation. Please note, the project URL is a link to a photography tutorial I wrote for Adafruit Industries. I submit this as an example of my work. This presentation is not sponsored by or affiliated with Adafruit.

Rhode Island Museum of Science and Art
The Rhode Island Museum of Science and Art plans to create a highly interactive, informal learning center in RI devoted to increasing independent thinking, creativity and innovation. Our exhibits, and these installations, merge art and science to create a hands-on way to experience sound, texture, color, particle flow and electricity. Please don't ask what you are "supposed" to do with them. Observe others and experiment on your own to see what you CAN do with them.
Note: We'll be located at the Waterfire Sales Tent in the road on Canal Street between Steeple and Washington.
